Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

Weighly does not require an account. The app uses a random device identifier to associate app activity and subscription status with that device and to enforce usage limits. An active Pro subscription is required to use the app. We do not ask for your name, address, contacts, or profile to provide the core service.

If you contact support, we receive the email address and message you choose to send.

2. Photos and estimates

When you scan, the image is sent for transient processing so Weighly can produce an estimate. The image may be transferred to the infrastructure and vision providers used to process the request. Weighly does not persist the image server-side. Providers may retain limited request logs for safety, security, or legal compliance under their own policies and terms.

Server-side estimate records are deleted after 90 days; history you save stays on your device.

3. Providers and infrastructure

We use hosted infrastructure and vision providers to operate the service. We use RevenueCat to process and synchronize purchase status; Apple handles App Store billing. If Sentry is enabled for the deployment, it may receive crash reports and technical diagnostic data needed to investigate failures. These providers process information under their own policies and contractual terms.

We use Clarix for usage analytics in iOS and Android builds. Clarix receives selected event names for onboarding, paywalls, scans, purchases, restores, and rating prompts, together with a random app-owned device identifier. This is the same identifier used with RevenueCat, so these events are linked to that identifier rather than being anonymous. We do not send Clarix photos, food labels, nutrition information, estimated weights, error details, user-entered content, or email addresses.

4. Cookies and tracking

The marketing pages do not require an account or advertising profile. The app may use the platform facilities needed for purchases, crash reporting, and basic service operation. We do not sell personal information. The site loads Google Fonts and the hosted Apple badge; those third parties can receive a request containing your IP address and standard browser information.

The Clarix integration sends no advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not add device fingerprinting, advertising, or cross-app tracking.

5. Your choices and rights

You can stop using the service, remove saved history from the app, and contact us to ask about access, correction, deletion, or other rights available where you live. We may need enough information to locate a request; because no account is required, some requests may not be matchable to a person without information you provide.

6. Changes

We may update this policy as the product changes. The date above shows when the current version took effect. Material changes will be communicated through a suitable product or website notice.

7. Children

Weighly is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law. Do not submit a child’s personal information through support or the service.
